Back at it!!

Thanks to Jasper for designing our new logo which makes its 1st appearance on the poster for our upcoming gig at The Brisbane on November 3rd, where we will be recording a live album.
Truck Show and Lady Crimson will be joining us that night too!
We're also planning on having the show filmed with the audio fed direct from the desk. That way it'll be in sync with the tracks we use for the live album. More about that later when its underway.

Thanks to everyone who braved the miserable weather to make it to the Alley Cat for our last show. You all rocked, and we had a ball!
Anyway here's that poster I was talkin' about:
seeya round like a record...

Oh Yeah, I forgot to mention...
We're lookin' for a new logo. If you're a good designer and can be arsed to make something nice for us, post it to the email address listed on this page. If we choose yours, you can have free entry to a gig of your choice (featuring us), including any supports we may be doing for interstate/international bands.
Get it on!
Thanks for hangin' in there! We just played a gig with JApanese all girl band the 5.6.7.8's.
It was a top nite and the girls were great!
We've now got a half dozen new original toons in the set including one where Aidan sings lead vocals and plays slide guitar (wot a talented boy!). We're planning on recording these and some other newer unrecorded songs in the winter for a limited release album, and also have plans for a live album, or at least E.P.
Gig-wise, we are backin up Def FX (feturing Fiona Horne) at the Republic on Sunday June 3rd, followed by Thre Hard Ons on the 16th of June at The Brisbane.
We're puttimg together shows of our own for early spring- more about these later.
Anyhow we'd love to see you at our upcoming shows to lay some new shit on ya.
'til then, take it sleazy,
Aidan Roob

Back, and ready to rock 'n' roll!

Well it's been a whlie since the last post and last gig. Hope you all ha a good Xmas and New Year. We did!
We haven't been idle all this time. We've been workin on some new tunes which we intend to include on our next album - hopefully to be recorded early this year some time.
As it stands we got 6 numbers penned, and 4 of those ready to play.
When?
Well we're doin a couple of sets at the Mr and Miss Alternative show (which also includes some burlesque performances) at THE REPUBLIC next Saturday Jan 21, and we'll be givin those tunes their 1st public airing.

On the gig front, we're also at THE ALLEY CAT on Feb 3 with fantastic young band The Ray Guns and new band Squid Cinema.
On op of that, we're backin up The Lazies at THE BRISBANE on (I think) Feb 18, and on March 30 also at the Brissy we're headin' upthe next TRASH bash.

Anyhow, more details later. Hope to see you at The Republic next saturday.

Friday Night Fun with The Roobs

Condolences to The Bittersweet Kicks who have had a death in the family and consequently won't be making it to Tassie to Play this Friday night, October 21.
The Roobs will still be there (the show must go on!), backed up by The Demotions and a surprise mystery opening act (its such a mystery i don't even know who yet! Mystery? it's shrouded in the shit! real cloak 'n' dagger stuff! no kiddin'!)

Man, I love this weather today! reminds me of bein' 18 years old, when all the girls were pretty, ya never had to get up early for work & ya got change from 5 bucks for a six pack.
Anyhoo, hope to seeya Friday night and we'll do our best to make you feel like that too.
